A rare and authentic WWII U.S. Army Air Forces Officer’s Summer Service Pressure "Crusher" Cap. This is the sought-after "Flightweight" model, specifically designed for aviators.

​Provenance & Identification:
The cap is personally named "E.T. Kearney" under the visor. Research identifies the owner as Lt. Edward T. Kearney, a Bombardier with the 418th Squadron, 100th Bombardment Group (The "Bloody Hundredth") based in Thorpe Abbotts, England. Lt. Kearney is recorded as having completed his combat tour in September 1944, with his final mission flown against Mainz, Germany.
​Condition:
Great vintage condition with a "been there" look. Features original brass officer’s insignia and side buttons with natural patina. The leather sweatband and visor show authentic wear.
